In recent months there has been a spike in phishing e-mails claiming to be coming from the IRS. These e-mails are claiming that you had rejected tax transfers and contain a Tax Transaction ID number. There have been many reported sender e-mails, this one being fireflieskb0@sterkinerkor.com. It is important that you do not click on any of the links that are contained within the e-mail and to not send any personal information to the e-mail address. The IRS does not initiate contact with taxpayers by email or any social media tools to request personal or financial information, so again please do not click any of the links in the e-mail or send any of your personal information. If you have any questions about these phishing e-mails please contact our office
